Fortin, Leavy, Skiles, Inc. was established in
1983 and specializes in general civil engineering and land surveying. Our firm
was formerly known as Donald W. McIntosh & Associates which was established in
1957. Prior to being named Donald W. McIntosh & Associates, the firm was also
known as August De Winkler. We have land surveys dating back to 1936.
A
professional/technical staff of 20 plus two clerical personnel enables our firm
to provide services to primarily private developer clients from Tampa to the
Florida Keys. Our services include all types of land surveys, condominium
surveys, designs for grading, paving and drainage improvements, water and sewer
systems, and environmental permitting. We have performed surveying and
engineering services for thousands of shopping centers and plazas, corporate
centers, hotels, restaurants and medical centers. In addition, we have
performed extensive survey work on over 300 condominium projects across the
state of Florida.
We enjoy the good reputation we have built with our clients and governmental
review agencies. Our office and field personnel are fully equipped with up to
date electronic equipment and all drawings and surveys are prepared
electronically using AutoCAD. This equipment, and the qualified professionals
operating it, allows our firm to complete projects within the required time
limits.
One of our firm’s many strengths is its ability to obtain timely governmental
approvals of our projects. Having worked with the reviewing agencies for over
25 years, the principals and employees of Fortin, Leavy, Skiles, Inc. are
familiar with the permitting requirements, procedures, and agency personnel, and
can help expedite the permitting process through the many local agencies having
jurisdiction.
